AW 1913 Sampler best seller and died at age 61Not as old as many samplers, but no less beautiful. AW must have worked from the same pattern book as LZ. Both have a touch of art deco and are redwork samplers. AW interestingly crochet around the edge of her sampler to "hem" it. I decided to have AW stitched with an over dyed brown cotton thread called Blackbird by Classic Colorworks. The fabric is 32ct smokey white Belfast linen. This makes her 7. 5 x 8. 5 inches.
