Domaine Du Chardonnay Chablis 1er Cru Vaugiraut 13% abv 2022 Vacqueyras Once in the winery theThis is the only north facing Premier Cru in Chablis. Its cooler but sees the sun all day; there are rarely problems with achieving ripeness. Here, 60 year old vines are planted on white clay soil. The nose is generous and giving, with some spicy reduction and ripe apple fruit. Sbastien describes this as gourmand. Indeed, there is a real drinkability here, with a crisp finish.
